In operation since 1998, Smile Designers is a generalist boutique dental clinic with a focus on cosmetic dentistry. The two owners – Dr Elisabeth Koukopoulou, DDS, Msc, and Dr Olga Efstratopoulou DDS, MSc – are both US-trained and have master’s degrees in their specializations of Restorative and Cosmetic Dentistry.
The rest of the team consists of five handpicked dentists who have done postgraduate studies in the best internationally accredited universities in the US and Europe. This highly specialized, skilled and experienced team is proud to offer dental treatments of the highest quality at an affordable cost.

Olfi (Olga – Filothei) Efstratopoulou is a graduate of Arsakeio Psychiko and a graduate of the School of Dentistry of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She has passed an examination at the State Scholarship Foundation and has received a scholarship in the field of Prosthetic Dentistry.
She continued her studies in Esthetic and Reconstructive Dentistry in America, at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, where she returned with a Master of Science degree in this field (MSc in Esthetics and Restorative Dentistry).
She completed her postgraduate dissertation on dental esthetic materials and their bonding to dental tissues with the guidance of major dental practitioners such as Dr. O’ Brien.
She has taught undergraduate students at the University of Michigan Dental School during her studies there.
She has been a University Associate Professor at the Department of Dental Surgery at the University of Athens, teaching at the laboratory and at the clinics during 1998 -2004.
She participates actively and continuously attends all scientific events in the field of Esthetic Dentistry in Greece and abroad. She has participated in a number of conventions as a speaker with papers on her research work. She has participated in the teaching of postgraduate education seminars at the University of Athens and the Society of Dental Research.
She maintains a private clinic that specializes in Cosmetic Dentistry and Prosthetic Rehabilitation since 1998.

Dr. Elisabeth Koukopoulou earned her DDS from the Dental School of National and Kapodistrian University of Athens Greece in 1995. Pursuing further education, she completed her specialization in Restorative and Esthetic Dentistry in Ann Arbor, University of Michigan, USA and received a Master’s Degree in Science in 1998.
Passionate about education, she has been involved in teaching undergraduate students in the University of Michigan. While in the US she has also participated in research programs and has several publications in the dental literature.
She has attended a lot of dental conferences and she has given a lot of lectures and dental courses. She has participated for several years in the education of undergraduate students as a clinical instructor in the department of Operative Restorative Dentistry in the Dental school of University of Athens.
She maintains her own private practice in Athens for more than 20 years, working only as a specialist dentist, practice limited to Prosthodontics, Implantology, Restorative and Cosmetic Dentistry and implants. She is a DHA licensed Specialist Dentist in Dubai and also a HAAD specialist in Prosthodontics in Abu Dhabi.
She is also a beauty and health consultant, writing articles on smile design in a number of worldwide known magazines. She believes that a healthy and beautiful smile can pose a tremendous positive impact on one’s personal and career success.
Her specialization in the US helped her in doing what she enjoys most, creating attractive smiles, and increasing patients self confidence with their new image. With cosmetic dentistry and the latest state of the art techniques like ultra-thin veneers, porcelain crowns and inlays, tooth whitening, dental implants, anyone can smile happily again. “I was looking forward to experiencing life in Dubai. It is such an international city, a melting pot of cultures seated on rich Arabic land and heritage. On my first day in Dubai, I knew I made the right decision. I saw five patients – all from different continents! Treating patients from all over the world is a new challenge for me”.
